Edinburgh’s cocktail scene is nothing less than banging, to use some slightly colloquial language, and the Lucky Liquor Company is one of the bars helping to maintain that ethos.
The bar takes 13 bottles of spirits, using them to make 13 drinks which stay on the menu for 13 weeks – who said 13 was unlucky?
Because of the speed in which the menu changes, by the time you’re reading this the menu could be very different, just FYI.
At the time of writing, drinks on the menu included the Simpatico, featuring Sloe gin; Ceviche Sour, made with tequila and lychee; and the Rally Racer, made with Bourbon.
The bar is a refreshing space to be, featuring wide open spaces and bright, white tiles for the walls and nice light woods for the tables.
The staff exude a cool Edinburgh vibe, but are very approachable and friendly, as well as forthcoming with suggestions and general banter.
Lucky Liquor also happens to be a close relative of Top 50 Cocktail Bar’s 2018 number one bar Bramble, which features fourth on the 2019 list.
