Using seasonal and British produce and locally foraged ingredients, the bar team create intelligent flavour pairings to make drinks of distinction.

Situated on Preston Street in the bohemian West Sussex seaside city of Brighton, the bar stands out from other venues as it is lit up in neon green.

The cocktails are described as retro and the venue niche, with the menu split into three easy-to-understand concepts including Revised Disco Drinks, Seasonal Cocktails and the Apothecary.

Revised Retro Cocktails is a mix of disco-era drinks reimagined for today and have included drinks such as the Basil Grande made with Reyka Vodka, overripe strawberry maceration, Averna amaro, cynar amaro, hacked ‘lemon’ juice, basil and green chartreuse foam.

Seasonal Cocktails are avant-garde creations that shine a spotlight on local and, of course, seasonal produce and have included drinks such as the Plum/Gooseberry made with Teelings Single Grain Whiskey, Akashi Tai Umeshu, foraged plum maceration, Sipello Aperitivo, foraged gooseberry shrub and Maldon Sea Salt.

Finally, the Apothecary menu is filled with soft drinks that exploit the power of plants for hedonistic and other beneficial effects and has included the likes of Damiana with foraged gorse, coconut, soured raspberry and soda, and claimed to have aphrodisiac properties as well as being uplifting and aiding digestion.
