Nestled in the heart of Manchester is Red Light, a speakeasy-inspired cocktail bar, proudly serving the LGBTQ+ community and welcoming everyone.
The hidden gem, which opened in May 2023, is tucked away behind the red-brick façades and cobbled pathways of Kampus, the new Manchester neighbourhood featuring contemporary apartments and buzzing restaurants and bars.
Red Light is owned by Deana Ferguson, who has worked in the hospitality sector in Manchester for many years including at Ducie Street and Hawksmoor.
The cosy space at Red Light is adorned with plush booths and has portraits lining the walls, creating an intimate ambience. The venue offers a premium cocktail experience with an interesting cocktail list.
Its innovative cocktail list includes its Red Light Calling featuring Beefeater gin, coconut, Fino sherry, citrus and home-made lychee soda. Plus, guests can try Naked & Almost Famous, Deana’s own take on the modern classic, featuring Mezcal, Campari, Aperol, yellow chartreuse and lime.
