Tom Thumb

Tom Thumb is Newquay’s neighbourhood cocktail bar which was opened in 2016 by Jamie Garfield.

The bar that calls itself a “haven for the discerning drinker” stocks over 120 bottles of hand chosen spirits.

It focuses on sustainability with its coffee, spirits, beers, syrups, concoctions, and organic wine list all being true to this ethos.

Tom Thumb also works closely with other local businesses including a nearby farm and links its menu directly to the seasonal, local produce.

The menu includes classics such as Old Fashioned, Whisky Highball and Margarita.  But there is a creativity and innovation with its original cocktails that include innovative serves such as the Lemon Highball with Portobello Vodka, house lemon and fennel ferment, plum sake and soda; Paloma Sour with El Rayo Plata Tequila, house grapefruit sherbet, citrus, egg white along with the Cherry Street with Ragtime Rye Whiskey, Suze Aperitif, cherry liqueur and sultana extract.

There are also seasonal specials, mocktails and champagne cocktails. Bar snacks include items such as honey and chilli cashews, smoked almonds and Wasabi peas.
