- 2023 Bar Team of the Year Finalist
Devastatingly The Pineapple Club has had to close its doors shortly after the event due to rising costs. We wish Sam and the team the best of luck with their new venture, we also want to honour their place on the list.
The venue itself is fresh, vibrant and spacious with a strong range of drinks offerings as well as an equally compelling bottomless brunch offering. Jumping a huge 30 places in just a year, this Birmingham hotspot is not to be underestimated.
“The Pineapple Club cocktail bar and bottle shop Birmingham is the second edition to Vanguard Bars ltd’s portfolio,” says the venue’s website.
“A bespoke venue, located within the heart of the historic Great Western Arcade, we boast a selection of delightfully handcrafted cocktails, a wide range of craft beers and a fantastic food menu.”
Launching a new menu late 2022, the current offering highlights independent businesses throughout the Midlands and the UK. ‘Faces of our industry’ aims to educate drinkers on the people who make their drinks and products to give people a voice and an opportunity to tell their story.
A happy hour is available from 5pm-8pm Thursdays and Fridays with drinks costing just £6.
The current menu includes drinks such as Lassi Wanders with Indian-owned Crazy Gin, mango, lemon vermouth, chutney spices, lime, or the Second Iteration which combines Discarded vodka, honeybush, caramelised banana, raspberry & avocado leaf and pineapple.
Under classics, serves have included the trusty Pornstar Martini, the Negroni, Old Fashioned, French Martini and the Espresso Martini.
The team work concisely and closely to bring you a unique cocktail experience in the heart of Birmingham, making them a finalist of this year’s Bar Team of the Year award.
