Situated in Dalston, with a second bottle shop and bar in Brixton, Hacha offers a very different cocktail experience and encourages guests to move well beyond any pre-existing perceptions they may have about tequila and mezcal.
Of course, there are margaritas on the menu, being one of the preferred ways to drink tequila and mezcal – see the Mirror Margarita and Mezcal Mirror Margarita.
But there are also many other serves that either twist classics or are brand new inhouse concepts developed by the talented bar team.
For example, the Salted Pomegranate and Ginger Margarita mixes ginger infused Patron Silver with Hacah Sour Mix, rosa vermouth, salted caramel pomegranate liqueur and cane syrup; the Alma Dorada is made with El Sueno Gold Tequila, Mezcal Amores, walnut aperitif, ginger liqueur and tepache; and the Paloma Old Fashioned is made with Arette Blanco Tequila, the Lost Explorer Mezcal, a Paloma reduction, grapefruit and hops bitters.
This is an exceptional venue with so many interesting drinks concepts, it is a one to visit should you either have a passion for tequila and mezcal or would like to get into the category.
