One of London’s finest speakeasy bars, the Bootlegger in Aldgate is yet another of the capital’s worst kept secrets.
You are more likely to find a Nando’s or a dry cleaners than the Bootlegger, which is wedged between those businesses, because there’s little indication of the bar’s whereabouts on the street.
Inside you’ll find a lot of vintage working parts, such as a ye olde till, gramophones and other knick-knacks that add charm and substance to the environment.
The bar staff play into the theme with their dress, as do the cocktails.
However, to retain as much of the bar’s secrecy, we’re not going to reveal anything else you’ll find in the bar.
