This friendly neighbourhood cocktail bar from Bart Miedeksza opened in London’s Newington Green in January 2023.

The new venue describes itself as “a place where people from various paths of life meet.”

It boasts a beautiful, long bar which offers a theatre to the customer as they can see the bartenders preparing their order.

This isn’t the first Crossroads though as it was previously hidden away underneath Camden Town before it moved to this new location at the junction of Royal College Street and Camden Road in a renovated Victorian toilet.

Miedeksza, who also acts as an independent brand spirits consultant has a long background in the cocktail sector. He has worked at the well-known London bar High Water as well as bars in Poland including 17 Schodów Cocktail Bar and Hormon.

As for its cocktails there is a deceptive simplicity to the menu, with drinks often made with locally sourced ingredients and in-house ingredients.  Its ethos is to serve simple but delicious tipples in a relaxed atmosphere.

There is the Eucalyptus + Tonka which mixes mezcal, with its own eucalyptus spirit and the essence of tonka bean, or the Darjeeling which is similar to a Martini with tea-based spirit, vermouth, jasmine and yuzu. There is also the showstopping 3 Apples Stinger, with Calvados – Apple Eau de Vie, Gala Cordial & Mint and the Corn + Ruffle with Bourbon, Super Corn Combo, dry sherry and white truffle.

But for those that like tradition there are classic cocktails available on request.

The stunning bar snacks from the kitchen accompany the drinks perfectly. These include specialities such as Burrata served with black tea tomato sauce, an ever-changing selection of meats in the Charcuterie, cheeses and prawn sliders.
